Ketchup Clouds by Annabel Pitcher – Book Review

I have been wanted to read this book for a while so it was great to finally get there.

I know that mind of a teenage girl is sporadic at best but in trying to imitate that, I felt there was to much jumping around in the protagonists thoughts and unnecessary information.  I found myself more than once thinking, get on with it, this isn’t relevant.  To be fair this book is Young Adult so I’m not the intended audience but then again so was Twilight and Harry Potter is for kids… I’m a fan of both?!

The annoying thing is that the actual story itself is really good.  I love the way it unravelled, cleverly showing the plot unravelling as you see the characters unravelling. I enjoyed the narrative being letters written to a man on death-row.  It was a shame that it got lost in all the random thoughts she was having.

I wanted to like this book more than I truly did – sorry!

I’m rating this book 2.5 out of 5 xxx
